The Environmental Impact of Press On Nails and How I Offset It

At Meg’s Manifesto, I want to make sure I’m doing my part for the environment. The truth is, like any product, press on nails do have an environmental footprint, especially when it comes to shipping and packaging. But don't worry, I’m working hard to make sure that footprint is as small as possible.

The Environmental Impact of Press On Nails

Press on nails can be a more eco-friendly option compared to salon treatments, but that doesn’t mean they’re without impact. From production to shipping, there’s still some waste and carbon emissions to think about.

Plastic Waste
Even though I try to keep packaging to a minimum, some plastic materials are still used to protect your nails during transit, like glue tubes or small bags. These materials can add up, especially with frequent orders.

Shipping Emissions
Another factor is shipping. On average, each delivery emits about 204 grams of CO₂. While I’m all about getting your nails to you quickly and safely, I also know that transportation takes a toll on the environment.

How I Offset the Environmental Impact

I don’t just want to sit back and let the carbon emissions happen, I want to do something about it. That’s why with every single order, I donate to JustOneTree.life, a fantastic initiative that plants a tree for every purchase made.

Each tree planted absorbs around 10 kilograms of CO₂ every year, which helps offset the emissions from the shipping process. It’s a simple but powerful way to give back to the planet. So, by ordering with me, you’re not just getting amazing nails, you’re also helping the environment.

Why Trees?

Trees are one of the best ways to tackle climate change. They absorb CO₂, improve air quality, and support biodiversity. By planting trees through JustOneTree.life, I’m supporting reforestation efforts in areas that need it most, and you’re part of that effort every time you make a purchase.

How It Works

After you place an order, I make a donation to JustOneTree.life within 30 days. The funds go directly toward planting a tree, and that tree will absorb CO₂ and help fight climate change for years to come. It’s a small step, but when we all contribute, it makes a big difference.

I want to thank you for being a part of this journey and helping to make the world a little bit better with every order. If you ever have questions or want to know more about how we’re offsetting the environmental impact of shipping, don’t hesitate to get in touch!

Together, we can make a difference, one tree, and one beautiful set of nails, at a time.
